For the values of this data type, you can use the letters A to Z, and a to z. There is case sensitivity. You can assign a letter to each text.

Example

A   Time magazine

B   Newsweek

C   Readers Digest

D …

A multiple-response code AC indicates that Time Magazine and Reader’s Digest are read.

Transformation to and from multiple-response:

In the menu Options > Multiple-response you will find the possibility to

- transform a multiple-response variable to yes-no label variables

e.g. to show whether someone reads Newsweek

- transform several variables to one multiple-response variable

e.g. to show whether someone reads news, fashion, etc. magazines.
