The data table

The data, ordered in rows and columns, can be edited in the table.

The data table consists of rows and columns.

The top row of the data table is gray; the names of the variables are in this row.

The first column of the data table is also gray, and contains the serial numbers of the records.

Right clicking in the serial number column gives you the opportunity to insert or to delete records.

Right clicking in a data column gives you the option to sort or delete the variable. You may also edit values, or insert a new variable before or after the column you have made active. Another option is to calculate the values in this column as a function of other variables. The name of this variable is at the top of the column.

Click in the first empty column to open a window to define a new variable.

Clicking in any other empty column enables you to define several new variables, provided that they are of the same type.
