In a time series you can check whether there is any pattern in the development of a variable over time. The file should should therefore contain a time indication. This time-variable should consist of a series of consecutive numbers, corresponding to (almost) equal time intervals such as days, weeks, months, quarters, years.
With this plot, a screen appears where you can define a number of options. In any case you must first define the time-variable and the dependent variable. The 'period' is the period over which the moving average (mean) is calculated. The possibilities are the multiplicative model and the additive model.
There are three tab pages.
Variables Here you define the model: the variables, the time period and the model type. The following choices can be made: additive, multiplicative, none.
Graph You obtain a time series graph and a graph of the moving averages. The moving average is calculated with the period defined on the tab page Variables.
Table The information over the time series in table format The moving average is calculated with the period defined on the tab page Variables.
